Art Bébé’s narrative examines the human condition through the lens of evolution. The story unfolds in the city of Neo Manhattan in the late 21st century. The era is a dystopian and transitional one in human affairs, the imagined future belonging to the transhuman. Art Bébé as a created transhuman becomes the bridge and saviour figure to the transcendent human.
What is the future?
The Art Bébé Project holds that the future belongs to the transhuman – the notion that humanity can and will alter the human condition fundamentally by augmenting humans with machines and other means. This is where Art Bébé wants to take us.
